About Microsuction

Microsuction is a modern day system using a small suction tube to withdraw the wax away from the ear drum and out of the ear. Photos and videos are taken before, during and after treatment is completed. These can be shown to you if you’re interested.

Micro-suction has been used by ENT consultants (Ears Nose Throat) within the NHS for ear clearance for many years, but has only recently been adopted as the UK’s number 1 method of wax removal. It’s a well documented and safe method of wax removal.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joanna last week after making an online appointment. I had been suffering with blocked ears and reduced hearing for a couple of weeks and had tried every sort of ear drop I could.She was super welcoming and talked me through the process. Today I took my 4 year old daughter to see Joanna after 6 long weeks of the doctors telling me her ears were blocked but weren’t helping me. Really great appointment. I chose Norfolk Ear Care as the initial phone call was full of good advice and was reassuring. At the appointment Joanna was super clear in her explanations, showed me the ear,listened to and explained why I may have the symptoms I had.Joanna used medical models in her explanations and explained the process and tools thoroughly. The treatment showed inflammation in the middle ear (they look like tiny hammers) which I had suspected and that the steps I was taking were correct.The clinic was super clean and quiet and I was very pleasantly surprised that Norfolk Ear Care offers a free drop in session in Fleggburgh, to inspect ears ahead of any treatment.Highly professional and warm person...this was a great appointment.
